The Ocean Conservation Alliance is an initiative dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems, promoting sustainable fisheries management, and safeguarding the health of our oceans for future generations. The program brings together governments, researchers, environmental organizations, coastal communities, and policy leaders to strengthen marine conservation efforts and sustainable ocean governance.
Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14 - Life Below Water, the initiative focuses on protecting marine biodiversity, reducing ocean pollution, and supporting sustainable fishing practices that preserve ocean resources while sustaining livelihoods.
The alliance is supported by the Sustainable Development Council, working with global partners to advance responsible ocean stewardship and sustainable coastal development.
