Dr. Datchanamoorthy Ramu (DMR) is an eminent leader from India, an SDG Advocate and an International Human Rights Educator. He has been actively engaged in global dialogues on sustainable development and youth participation.
Dr. Ramu worked with the United Nations MYWorld 2030 initiative, a global campaign that mobilized citizens' voices and contributed to shaping the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations. This global engagement later became the foundation for establishing the Sustainable Development Council (SDC).
In recognition of his contributions toward promoting the SDGs, Dr. Ramu was later appointed as an SDG Advocate for the Asia-Pacific region. He is also Co-Founder of the International Youth Forum. For his impactful contributions, he has been honored with prestigious recognitions including the Karmaveer Chakra and the Bharat Jyoti Award.
