Dr. Datchanamoorthy Ramu (DMR) is an eminent leader from India, an SDG Advocate and an International Human Rights Educator He has been actively engaged in global dialogues on sustainable development and youth participation.
Dr. Ramu worked with the United Nations MYWorld 2030 initiative, a global campaign that mobilized citizens’ voices and contributed to shaping the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations. This global engagement later became the foundation for establishing the Sustainable Development Council (SDC), an organization committed to advancing the SDGs through youth leadership, partnerships, and community-driven initiatives.
In recognition of his contributions toward promoting the SDGs, Dr. Ramu was later appointed as an SDG Advocate for the Asia-Pacific region, where he continues to promote awareness, youth engagement, and collaborative action toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals across communities and international platforms.
Dr. Ramu is also Co-Founder of the International Youth Forum, organizations dedicated to empowering youth, promoting sustainable development, and advancing humanitarian initiatives. For his impactful contributions, he has been honored with prestigious recognitions including the Karmaveer Chakra and the Bharat Jyoti Award. He holds a B.Tech from Anna University and has pursued Global Diplomacy at the University of London.

Extensive knowledge of social work principles, techniques and practices and their application to complex cases, group work, and community issues. Easy going by nature and able to get along with both colleagues and others.
