Uniting action against climate change
The Climate Action Coalition is an initiative of the Sustainable Development Council (SDC) dedicated to promoting urgent climate action in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 13.
The initiative brings together governments, institutions, businesses, civil society, and young leaders to address the climate crisis through collective action, policy advocacy, and community engagement.
Through research, awareness campaigns, advocacy, and partnership building, the Climate Action Coalition supports efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build climate resilience, and promote sustainable environmental practices.
Recognized with Special Consultative Status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) from 2021.
The initiative focuses on raising climate awareness, supporting adaptation and mitigation strategies, and building partnerships that strengthen communities' ability to respond to climate challenges.
SDC works with environmental organizations, governments, and local communities to implement programs that promote renewable energy, sustainable resource use, and climate-resilient development.
The Climate Action Coalition also contributes to global and national policy dialogue on climate, advocating for ambitious targets, equitable solutions, and meaningful participation from all sectors of society.
